How might local humanitarian aid ecosystems in the Global South decouple themselves from the global north’s funding and infrastructure?
HUM2035 is an exhibit telling the story of HUM, a fictional Indian humanitarian aid network. It tells the stories of HUM-affiliated humanitarian workers dealing with a water crisis in the aftermath of a destructive tropical storm. The story explores the roles of local and international aid providers in a world that has learned to value homegrown organization.
The exhibit has since been presented at the Barbican and several humanitarian aid conceferences.
