PROTOTYPING MORE LIVABLE CITIES THROUGH COLLABORATIVE METHODS.
CRAFTING VALUABLE SERVICES AND EXPERIENCES THROUGH DESIGN RESEARCH.
CHALLENGING TROPES ABOUT THE WORLD TO COME THROUGH PLAYFUL INVESTIGATION AND SPECULATION.
PLAYFUL EXPRIMENTATION WITH PROGRAMMING, INTERACTIVITY, AND EXPRESSION.
Designer specialized in the creation of participatory experiences and digital storytelling.
Much of my work consists of providing the necessary structure for diverse groups of individuals to collaborate by formulating a shared vision, defining its guiding values and principles or planning out how to best bring it to life from research to prototype, to pilot.
Over the past ten years I have developed this practice at the intersection of design fiction, city-making, gamer culture and maker culture, greatly drawing from work of practicioners like Sara Hendren, Nicolas Nova, Taeyoon Choi, Jose Sanchez.
Outside of my professional activity, I've developed a real passion for small creative coding experiments. I've organized several hackathons on the intersection of crafts and creative code like Digikat, or Museomix India. And I keep a small online sketchbook over here.
Past clients: Bouwhulpgroep, Humankind, Quicksand, Pull Experience, Sterling Brands, International Rescue Commitee, Moatboat, Two Bit Circus.

Over the past couple years I have been experimenting with making my research efforts an open and collaborative process.
Being overwhelmed by the amount of newsletters I do not read I've instead created a Discord server, CYBERLOCAL STRATEGIES, where collaborators and I share updates of ongoing projects and references (which has gone a bit quiet but has a few gems!).
I have also started a dedicated Obsidian note collection that I am working on getting live.

Ever since discovering Arthur Schmitt’s ninjaflex.com, I have been looking to perpetuate the practice of owning little URL destinations and parking a dash of opaque playfulness in them. I did so fairly cautiously at first, with project microsites, but now it’s starting to get a bit out of hand...
